Strings

Strings,

I was headed to Long Island, it was a rainy muggy day. I happened to notice there was a string from a loose thread hanging from my blouse.

I pulled on it and we all know what happened after that. The whole sleave strunched up and if i would have kept pulling eventually the whole shirt would be ruined. The only way to remove the string was to cut it off...
So i applied that to my life. I looked back at the people that i let hang on as the strings in my life. Unfortunately in some cases I would keep pulling and pulling, and pulling only to find that there was no way to even salvage a friendship because i just wouldnt Cut it off....
I involved other people... my kids and family... my friends...
I held on and on and on to those strings.... which resulted in a lot of hurt people..
So if you're reading this and can think about some of the people, things, even thoughts that are hanging by a string... I would suggest to just CUT it OFF... before the shirt can never be worn.
